    Hypersonic Avenger AG2
The Avenger AG2’s other components came happily together to produce some of the best benchmark results we’ve seen from a thin-and-light. The system broke the class record in our Futuremark PCMark05 test with its score of 5,052. (The previous leader—the Asus W7S—scored 4,554.) The AG2 also took top marks on our Cinebench 9.5 test with a blazing 837; the 5,234 it managed on Cinebench 10 was equally impressive. Its scores on our iTunes conversion (3 minutes and 35 seconds) and Windows Media Encoder (5 minutes and 58 seconds) tests also prove that this system can certainly hold its own on the multimedia front. The only disappointing score was on our Futuremark 3DMark06 test: The Avenger AG2 turned in just 645, which is quite low compared to systems with discrete graphics, if still above average for the thin-and-light category.

In the end, mobile professionals who spend the day out and about will probably want to avoid the Hypersonic Avenger AG2—unless they also want to lug around several extra batteries. For users who work close to a plug and simply need a lightweight, portable notebook, however, this system is worth a look. It’s one of the brawniest thin and lights you can buy, and as long as you don’t ask it to take on heavy-duty 3D work, it should provide more than enough power to handle most users’ needs.
